Hey guys! Sorry that it has been so long since my last post, I've been really busy with school. Thats why I have two blogposts for you guys today!
I was in Miami together with Johnathan and 4 other friends last weekend for Ultra Music Festival. It was awesome and I'm so so happy that I went!
The only festival I've ever been to has been Ultra, I went for the first time in 2014 and this year was my second time. The thing I love about festivals is that everyone is just so so so happy and free, and also very caring. You can really dress as crazy and as free as you want to and you can talk to anyone so easily. The vibe there is just so amazing.
Its also so cool to see so many people with so many different backgrounds come together in one place to enjoy the same thing. Everyone seems to somehow know the words to the same songs and we just all scream along together. It gives me goosebumps when you can hear the crowd sing a song together.
Festivals are not just about making sure you'll make it to the livestream or aftermovie, its about the experience as a whole. The people you meet, the artists you see perform, the stages you go to - its just as if you're living in a whole different world for a few days where you have no worries.
On Saturday I spent the first half of the day walking around South beach in the Art Deco District together with Johnathan. We saw a bunch of awesome cars, restaurants and buildings with cool architecture, ate burgers with fries and after that we took a taxi back to the hotel and got ready for the second day of Ultra.
My favorite sets of the weekend were definitely Dj Snake, Kygo & Purity Ring. All of them sound even better live!! (I didn't even think that was possible).
On Monday our flight back to Aruba was at 6pm so we still had quite some time to walk and explore around the city. We took a taxi to Wynwood walls and later to the Design District.
Miami, you were awesome and so inspirational. Now back to work and studying hard for my last exams which are in May!
